GLOBAL CASE STUDIES:

Places of Production: Kyriat Shmona

This preliminary research, conducted by students from Tel Aviv University and MIT, aims to understand the dynamics and spatial effects of 21st-century manufacturing, and to recommend responsive policies based on the findings. During a 10-day workshop in Kiryat Shmona and at Tel Aviv University, the students examined and analyzed Kiryat Shmona's industrial sites. The outcome of this phase is detailed in two booklets; that the first, was written by Tel Aviv University students guided by Prof. Tali Hatuka, focuses on the existing conditions and opportunities in Kiryat Shmona and Eastern Galilee's industrial sites; the second, written by MIT students guided by Prof. Eran Ben-Joseph, focuses on international case studies and applicable lessons for the City of Kiryat Shmona.
